Joshua White, from Irving Texas, is a star in the making. His career began at the early age of six and has shown upward mobility from the beginning. Joshua has already been cast in TV commercials, the Barney Show and the stage play “A Raisin in the Sun”. Joshua has a true passion for sports and acting but understands that his success is all in God’s plan for him.
AMPS: How did you begin your acting and modeling career?
Josh: A family friend, who was already modeling, signed me up for an audition and casting call. I was fortunate enough to be chosen to model.
AMPS: Since you are an avid sports fan, do you participate in school sports?
Josh: Yes, I am the point guard on my school’s basketball team.
AMPS: With you being 14, how are you able to manage your career and attend school?
Josh: It is really difficult sometimes. I do have to turn down jobs occasionally but most of the time, it just works out for me. AMPS: What advice does your parents give you regarding school, sports and your career? Josh: At this point, my parents feels that I should choose one and focus on it.
AMPS: What are your plans after high school?
Josh: I would really like to play basketball. If that doesn’t work out for me, I would continue my modeling and acting career.
AMPS: At this time, what are you most passionate about ?
Josh: My passion is basketball.
AMPS: How is your 1st year of high school?
Josh: I like it and I’m enjoying it.
AMPS: Do you friends treat you differently because of your acting and modeling career?
Josh: No. My friends think it’s cool that I am an actor and model.
AMPS: What would you like to share with your peers who’s interested in an acting and modeling career?
Josh: I would say to stay positive and stay focused. We are capable of achieving our dreams.
AMPS: How old were you when you first got into acting and modeling?
Josh- I was six or seven years old.
AMPS: How did you get into acting and molding?
Josh- Well, my older brother Y’wante James have some friends that was into modeling and they signed me up and I’ve been doing it ever since.
AMPS: Do you play any sports in school?
Josh- Yes, I play basketball as a point guard.
AMPS: How do you juggle all the things that you have going on like acting, molding, photo shoots, commercials, going to school and play basketball at the age of 14?
Josh- Well, it’s really difficult sometimes, but what I don’t like about it is sometimes I have to turn down jobs because of things going on at school, and sometimes it works out.
AMPS: How do your parents feel and handle you acting, photo shoots, and molding with school and sports?
Josh- They think I should choose one or the other, because they know sometimes it’s difficult for me to do school, sports, and acting. They keep telling me that I need to pick one or the other.
AMPS:What do you want to do once you finish high school?
Josh- Well, I really want to be a basketball player, but if that doesn’t work out I can always go back to doing my acting and molding.
AMPS: What is your passion right now?
Josh- Basketball.
AMPS: How are you liking your first year in high school?
Josh- I’m enjoying it so far I really like.
AMPS: What advice would you give another teenager if they were trying to get into this type of business?
Josh- Always stay positive and focused and that they could do anything that they put their mind to.

Josh- Well, my friends think it’s kind of cool to have a friend that’s a model and an actor.
